K–5th Clubs - Oregon Virtual Academy

K–5th Clubs

As a virtual school, designing programs that focus on student interaction and collaboration is a priority. At ORVA we recognize that socialization is vital to a child’s development. Clubs give elementary school students the opportunity to put into practice important skills like sharing, cooperation, teamwork, and communication.

Clubs are also a great opportunity for additional social engagement, and help students feel more connected to their classmates, teachers, and the greater school community.

Kindergarten & 1st Clubs

This club is open to kindergarten and 1st graders who want to have some read-aloud time with Mrs. Gross and Mrs. Boom! Enjoy your favorite books and discover new ones with us!

K–5th Clubs

Join us every other week to talk about family recipes, learn about our favorite foods, and find out about foods we have never heard of before! We will also have a weekly newsletter with food recipes and challenges of new snacks to make!

For our younger students we will hold every-other-week read aloud times. For our older students we will choose a book to do a book club with in which we read together and on our own and enjoy discussing. Join us to find out about new books and foster your love of reading!

Are you interested in exploring all the Disney resorts around the World? Join us as we take virtual rides through the parks, discuss our favorite items, foods, characters, and adventures… and maybe even have some fun.

Please join us for Science Fun every other Friday. We will be completing Science experiments at home using household materials and learning about the scientific concepts behind them. Science games will be included as part of the fun. Open to any students K-5!

Who loves building with Lego bricks? Us, too! Come share your creations with us, see what new things you can build, and talk about the coolest Lego build you’ve ever made!

2nd–5th Clubs

The National Honor Society students from high school will be holding an arts and crafts time for the elementary levels to enjoy new crafts, have fun with their peers, and be creative!
